The Walking Dead has definitely changed the platform of zombie movies; whereas they were only packed with actions, but you can find humanity and drama in this TV show. This drama with zombie apocalyptic setting has been for 5 years, and it has been confirmed that the new Walking Dead season 6 will be returning to your TV screen. The new season should start around October 2015.
There are some updates for the upcoming season, aside from the fact that this show will be starting on Sunday, October the 11th 2015 with a beginning episode running for 90 minutes. And if you are looking for a new kind of action, there will be 650 walkers for this opening series – a record for the most walkers so far! There will be another 16 episodes in this season, so you should stay tuned for it. AMC has released some of the new pictures about new kind of walkers that will be ‘active’ in this season 6. So if you think that some of the walkers have been quite boring with their so-so look, the new type may excite you.
Besides new type of walkers, there are going to be new characters in the show – aside the old time casts, for sure. Merritt Wever, an Emmy winner from Nurse Jackie, will be playing in the show, along with Ethan Embry and Corey Hawkins. Wever will be playing as Dr. Denise Cloyd, who is responsible for taking care of the wounded in Alexandria. Ethan Embry (from Grace and Frankie) will be playing as Carter. So far, there is nothing much revealed for this particular character, unless that he has been quite long in Alexandria and has been pretty busy. And then Corey Hawkins from Straight Outta Compton, will be playing as Heath, a supply runner, and possibly will be romantically involved with Dr. Cloyd – well, they are in the comic, anyway.
The old casts will be coming back, such as Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Carl (Chandler Riggs), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Glenn (Steven Yeun), Daryl (Norman Reedus), and others – expect characters as Sonequa, Father Gabriel, Eugene, Tara, Rosita, Sasha, and Morgan to be back.
