Best Action Movies in Spring 2015

New movies are made every time, so it is no wonder if you are presented with new flicks from year to year. Different genres are created and made, so you have different options and choices when it comes to your favorite shows. Whether you are into horror or romantic comedy, be sure that there are always new flicks with new stories – as well as new stars – ready to entertain you. Here are some top upcoming action movies that are ready to entertain and pamper you in 2015.

Spectre

This is another series of Bond’s movies, so you should tune into it if you have been following the series for quite some time. Bond is still played by Daniel Craig, with Ralph Fiennes and Christoph Waltz as the main characters. It should be interesting, considering that Fiennes has been known for his unique different personalities in every part that he is playing. As usual, the flick is the combination of action, adventure and also a thriller. Bond has to deal with his past after a cryptic message sent to him, leading him to another adventurous journey to reveal sinister organization. At the same time, M has to deal with her own problem concerning political issue so the secret service remains alive. In the end, Bond has to deal with layers of lies and deceit, and finally learns the ugly truth behind Spectre.

Last Knights

This is another kingdom-based setting of Clive Owen after his role in ‘Arthur’. This time, Morgan Freeman accompanied him in a movie about honor, loyalty, and also vengeance. It is a dark action story about a fallen warrior who wants to avenge his master and rises against a sadistic and corrupt ruler in a middle age-kind-of-setting and word clash adventure. If you are into kingdom based setting, vengeance theme and topic, and Clive Owen, this is the perfect option for you.

Ex Machina

There are different terms wrote for this flick – from Sci-Fi and drama – but this has the basic action combination that runs for around 108 minutes. It is about a young programmer with artificial intelligence experiment, resulting in female AI. It is written and directed by Alex Garland, and although the casts aren’t familiar or well known – do you happen to know Oscar Isaac, Alicia Vikander, or Domhnall Gleeson), it gets 8.0 rating from IMDB. The story is about Caleb, a coder in one of the biggest Internet Company in the world, who wins a competition and given the privilege to enjoy private mountain retreat for a week. The CEO of the company, Nathan, arranges the retreat but Caleb doesn’t know that he is about to participate in a fascinating experiment. He will be involved in an experiment involving a beautiful robot with first AI technology.

Max Max, the Fury Road

It combines thriller, adventure, and action, with Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron as the main characters. If you have been familiar with Hardy’s previous movies, as well as Theron’s action, flicks like Aeon Flux, this is an action movie to expect. The setting is about a post-apocalyptic world where Max has to work together with Furiosa, mysterious women, to survive. Max simply tries to find a peace of mind after the death of his child and wife during the apocalypse, while Furiosa wants to go back to her homeland and goes across the desert for it.

Jurassic World

Things have never been good when you hear the word ‘Jurassic World’ or ‘Jurassic Park’ since it always means being involved with the extinct dinosaurs trying to eat you. Well, this flick takes setting about 22 years after Jurassic Park events. Surprisingly, Jurassic World, the theme park, is finally functioning well – and without victims falling around. After 10 years of operation, the rates of visitors are going down, leading to a new decision of creating a new attraction. As everyone suspects it, the plan backfires just horribly, leading to more death – just like the first events.

Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens

Just like other Star Wars series, this one combines fantasy, adventure, and action. The setting is about 30 years after the last series Return of the Jedi. The casts are the original casts from the original series, like Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher. Those Star Wars fans are probably thrilled about this plan, but I’m not so sure that it is going to apply to those who aren’t fans. But George Lucas doesn’t need to worry as there are millions of hardcore and fans Star Wars fans all over the world, and if you are one of them, this is a must see flick.

Avengers, the Age of Ultron

This is another expected hero-based movie after the success of the first flick. The characters and casts are still the same, so you can expect seeing Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow, or Captain America again – and naturally seeing Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Hemsworth altogether. As usual, there are lots of things going on altogether. Things are going chaotic as Tony Starks try to deal with peacekeeping program, so the Mightiest Heroes of the World have to unite again and deal with the fate of the earth. To make things worse, Ultron, as the villain, has his own plan.

Focus 2015

This is an action movie from Will Smith, who plays as a veteran con man. Nicky Spurgeon takes Jess, an amateur con artist as a protégé as well as protecting her. When they are romantically involved, Nicky realizes that love and deceptions can’t go together well. They get separated, but his past soon caught up with him as he sees her again three years later, and that’s when things start to get messy.

Fantastic Four

This flick is different from the previous one; so don’t expect to see the same casts, although the story remains the same. There are four young scientists who have superhuman abilities and they have to deal with the uprising tyrant and save the world in the process.

Terminator Genisys

If you are still interested in watching Arnold Schwarzenegger acting as a terminator, this is the perfect flick to see. In this movie, Kyle Reese works together with Sarah Connor, John Connor’s mother, as well as an old terminator (played by Schwarzenegger) to stop the Judgment Day. Will they survive and succeed? You won’t know unless you watch the movie.
